Facial Skin Care

Facial skin care is most important for any woman. Most of us hope that our skin will be problem free. But once we have crossed our teens the problems slowly and steadily start to appear. Well life can be cruel. But no stress ladies! Here we bring simple facial skin care tips to hope tackle those problems like wrinkles, adult acne and more.

Acne Skin Care

Hormonal changes are the reason for adult acne. Acne on the jaw line is generally due to hormonal changes and around the forehead due to dandruff. You also get it if you don’t change your pillowcases often enough, use your cell phone only one side or tend to sleep on one side.

Fix It: to start with get relevant hormonal tests done. That will help your doctor prescribe the correct medicine. You can also go for laser treatment to remove the source of the infection and regenerate healthy cells. Microdermabrasion, peels and collagen masks also help. Oily hair can also be a problem, so wash your hair regularly and keep bangs off your forehead. Supplement your diet with zinc, Vitamin A and Vitamin E.

Home Remedy: mix equal parts of lemon juice and rose water. Apply to the affected portions and wash off after half an hour. Repeat this daily for 20 days to see results.

Pigmentation

Pigmentation is of two types. One is hypo-pigmentation, where the skin gets lighter in places and the more common hyper-pigmentation, where the skin gets dark in patches. The second can be caused by something as simple as birth control medication and is aggravated by sun exposure. To have more facial skin care you need to take care of pigmentation before it completely messes up your complexion.

Fix It: consult a dermatologist and avoid over the counter medication and creams. It is almost always going to come back and the only way to keep it at bay is to maintain facial skin care consistently. If you are not committed to sunscreen, there’s no point in treating melasma, black patches on the cheek caused by hormonal changes. You can also go for oral nutritional supplements containing antioxidants or fruits rich in Vitamin C, such as amla, oranges and guava, to combat free radicals generated by constant sun exposure.

Home Remedy: applying fresh lemon juice to pigmented skin, once a day, helps lighten it. Vinegar mixed with equal parts of water also helps.

Cellulite

Poor diet, poor physical maintenance and internal stress are the primary causes of cellulite formation. It’s basically pockets of fat trapped under the skin, giving your skin a dimply appearance.

Fix It: good diet is one of the first ways to control cellulite. Beauty expert Shahnaz Hussain recommends massaging the area with long strokes, with body lotion or oil, when the muscles are relaxed.

Home Remedy: boil ivy and lotus leaves in one liter of sesame oil and massage on skin. Mix a couple of drops of oils of margosa, winter cherry and sandalwood in base oils of almond, olive and seasame seed to treat cellulite.

Wrinkles

Wrinkles are just expression lines and definitely doesn’t go with facial skin care. They start around 25 and grow deeper with time. Smoking and sun exposure are the two big reasons behind it. Weight fluctuations can also be a reason as it makes the skin loose its elasticity.

Fix It: sun protection needs to start early and you must quit smoking. Start CTM i.e. cleansing, toning and moisturizing regimen in your 20s. Use an anti wrinkle cream before you go to bed. You can also try thermage, for sagging skin, anti ageing skin peels and multi vitamin skin correct facials for regeneration and energizing of ageing skin.

Home Remedy: making a paste of turmeric powder with sugarcane juice, applied every two three days, is helpful.
