Summer is here and with it comes some amazing things as well. With the fantastic weather and the fragrance of flowers in the air, everything looks just perfect. Added to all this, is the healthy summer foods bonus. With corn, steaks, hamburgers, hotdogs and a range of assorted summer delicacies, summer is so much fun. Let’s take a look at some healthy summer foods that are sure to make your lips drool.

Juicy Watermelon


 

Watermelon is one of the most delicious summertime fruits that you can enjoy. It’s simply like the epitome of summers. There are so many things you can do with this summer fruit. Whether you simply want to cut and enjoy it, or make a healthy watermelon juice, it has vitamins, taste and the much needed cooling factor in summers.

Get the Grill

Grilling is absolutely fun in the summer months. In summers you can hardly find a day when you don’t want to enjoy grilled hotdogs and hamburgers. You can also enjoy barbeque beef or pork or chicken. So, grill and keep healthy this summer.

Corn on the Cob

The fresh corn that you can simply cob and enjoy with the bright sunshine is simply great. It is also one of the healthy summer foods to look forward to.  How can we really talk about summer food without this? It’s healthy, helps in digestion and is absolutely great.

The Ices

Yes, of course you can have them the entire year, but enjoying them in the heat of summers make them all the more appealing. Ices, water ice, ice candies whatever you call them, it is a favorite of children and adults alike. Coming in all sorts of flavor like lemonade slush, cola and what not, they are such fun to have.

Ice Cream

The list of healthy summer foods can never be complete without ice-cream topping it all. Running after the ice-cream truck, to grab your favorite flavor is a memory each one of us share from our childhood. So what is your flavor this summer?

Salad

The intake of fiber like salads is very important in summers. You get all types of vegetables and fruits to make an interesting salad for yourself. You get the taste and all the necessary nutrients packed together.

Steak

One of the favorite healthy foods to enjoy during the summer months is steak. The minute you throw it on the grill, you can simply hear the sizzle and you are ready with your plate. Charred on the outside and juicy on the inside, it is one of the best summer time foods available.
